Well what do you know? This obsession knows no bounds. It’s March 2016 and I’m in the early stages of planning for a May Camino in 2017. I mean I could be doing a whole host of things around that time! Surely this is not natural…?
It is??? Oh ok.. I’ll take your word for it so!
So let me tell you how this came about. I received an email from a fellow walker in February asking if I had any plans for this May. I said I didn’t unfortunately, but told her that I was hoping to return to Spain later in the year. I also said I was hoping to return in 2017 to walk the Camino Ingles. Now..I met quite a few people last May and while I have not kept in touch with them (much to my regret), she has. The suggestion was put to me to meet up with a group of 6 or 7 and walk the Ingles in May. While I prefer walking solo, I said “why not?”. I can always walk by myself and meet them at a pre-arranged albergue.
So..this is something I am looking forward to. Not only is it something new, but it gives me a break from the French Way.

Nothing wrong with early planning! I already know where I am traveling next summer, and I’m not even done with planning this summer.
The walk sounds amazing – really want to do something similar (maybe a bit lighter) some day.

All I can say Caroline is go and do it! You won’t regret it. I walked for 5 days in 2011 and I’ve been addicted ever since. The good thing about the Camino is there are so many helpful websites out there that can point you in the right direction. Personally I prefer the Camino to city breaks or sun holidays.
