I stumbled across another great YouTube channel a few weeks ago. This pilgrim provides a time lapse of the first étape of the Camino Francés from St Jean to Roncesvalles. He has been uploading each stage each week and I suggest that you subscribe to his channel.
The first stage is a challenging one and you can see the climb from the moment you leave the town of St Jean. This is a wonderful memory for me. I remember leaving St. Jean in 2014 at 7am and arriving at Orrison two hours later. I was so outside my comfort zone but we managed to arrive in Roncesvalles before the sun set. I look forward to walking from St. Jean again again one day.
