So in my previous post, I mentioned that I had 126 days to wait until I boarded my flight to Madrid. To fill in that gap, I have started a countdown of sorts over on my instagram account. Every day up to my day of departure, I will post a photo from a previous Camino...a... Continue Reading →
Weekend Watch #33 – Jenna Fischer’s Camino
Ok it's not the weekend just yet, but I thought it's a great time to start posting some great Camino videos from YouTube. This one is less than 2 months old and has already over 8,000 views. Hopefully one day I will be able to post a video as half as good as this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=byUE2pZvD8M... Continue Reading →
2017..and something new!
So I've been thinking of creating a new series for this blog, and with the coming of the new year, there is no better time to start it then. I plan on uploading a photo a day starting from way back in 2011. I hope I won't be spamming my followers, but if that is... Continue Reading →

Throwback Thursday #5
Some of you may know this image from my twitter profile but if not, there is no need to worry. These two chaps are laying in wait for you on the road from Burgos. I saw this back in 2013 pointing me to Santiago.
Throwback Thursday #4
The artwork in Belorado is special. All it's walls are covered in drawings of pilgrims, soldiers and signs showing the right direction. I have passed through this small town on three occasions and have always enjoyed my time here. Jana and her family in "Albergue Cuatro Cantones" roll out the red carpet should you wish... Throwback Thursday #3
I'll never forget this view. It was taken from what is called the "Alto de Mostelares" in 2013. The town in the distance is Castrojeriz and I had some breakfast there before moving on. After you leave Castrojeriz, you have a 12% climb which seems to go on forever. But the rewards are many. You... Continue Reading →
Throwback Thursday #2
Taken in 2013 between Azofra and Santo Domingo de la Calzada. You can almost feel the wind in your face. We were walking uphill and I briefly turned back to take a picture. A miserable day but I made it to Santo Domingo shortly afterwards. This was the last day of rain I received until... Continue Reading →
Throwback Thursday #1
I remember taking this shot after a walk from Atapuerca in May 2015. It was very warm and I was waiting, with many other pilgrims, for the albergue to open. Burgos is a major city on the Camino and there is nothing finer than it's Cathedral. Here it is in all it's glory.
I've uploaded a bunch of photos from my time on the Camino and if you would like to browse through some of them, just click on the below link http://is.gd/rn0x14 There are no comments on them, or notes to say where they are taken. I'm sure I'll do that in the next few days. Hope... Continue Reading →
